Applegate Insulation is pleased to announce the availability of a new AIA approved course titled, “Environmental Materials and Energy Efficiency: Recycled Cotton (Denim) Insulation” and is available through the AEC Daily website at: www.aecdaily.com/sponsor/applegate
Sponsored by Applegate Insulation and presented by John J. Maricone, LEED AP, BD & C, CSJM Architects, Inc., a LEED Accredited Professional since 2009, the course provides an overview of recycled cotton denim insulation with a focus on the manufacturing processes, environmental benefits, material safety handling, performance benefits, and installation considerations relative to the industry standard (fiberglass) batt insulation.
“Support through the ongoing education of architects and specifiers has always been a priority at Applegate,” says Marvin Johnson, Head of Product Development at Applegate Insulation. “This new course serves to educate the industry on the thermal, acoustical and environmental performance advantages of recycled cotton denim insulation.”
The course qualifies for 1.0 LU/HSW credit, which goes toward the 18 Continuing Education Unit annual requirements architects must attain in order to maintain their AIA memberships. It also contributes to numerous other organizations’ continuing education requirements.
